Family Restoration, Celebrating Fathers, Empowering Parents:

 Recently, jonetta rose barras was sitting on the front porch of my mother's home in New Orleans, La. She was caught in reverie, remembering the days riding my bike with friends from the neighborhood; the backyard picnics my grandmother used to throw; and all the other families who lived in houses on Mexico Street. Those families were as imperfect as her own. But she has come to appreciate the lessons and values they passed along to us.
